Does a Revocable Trust Terminate Upon Death?
Not automatically.
A trust terminates by its own terms, or when its purpose is fulfilled. This would include terminating upon the
distribution of all trust assets.
A revocable trust does become irrevocable upon the death of the individual who set it up. However, it continues
under the original instructions as far as any distributions to other beneficiaries. It will terminate only when these
instructions have all been met.
