Alan R. Horvath, Attorney at Law
For a good attorney to produce a quality estate plan, he needs to understand you, your situation and your goals
and objectives.  Body language conveys a lot.  This is more important with a couple than with a single person,
but it is never irrelevant.

If you are shopping for an estate plan, you need to ask yourself how complex your situation is and how open you
are in your verbal communications.  You also need to ask if the attorney you are talking to will understand your
life style.  You need to feel comfortable that you can convey your situation verbally without visual cues, or you
need to go to the attorney for your consultation.

I personally live in a rural county.  I work daily with people in a rural county.  Some of them are pretty well off, and
some of them are struggling.  But we all have in common a sense of the land.  If you are a rural resident, I think I
have at least a starting point in understanding you.  This may or may not be enough to allow us to do a
consultation by phone.  However, a phone consultation with a rural attorney is one way for you to not only avoid
travel expenses but to minimize unnecessary attorney overhead.

If you are interested in an Estate Plan under California law, and feel I can relate to you, I would be pleased to
work with you either in person or by phone.
