Alan R. Horvath, Attorney at Law
Care Planning Overview
Your care plan must consider three basic concerns: What will your costs be?  Who will make decisions for
you
if you can not make a legally binding contract yourself, and what resources will be available to them in
order to provide for your care.
What resources will they have?
The assets of your trust will be
available to your trustee to use on
your behalf.  This could include
converting their form, and
borrowing against them.

Non-trust assets such as
pensions, IRAs, Long Term Care
insurance, Social Security, and
MediCal can be accessed for you
by your agent.
What will your costs be?
Approximate 2006

Who will make decisions for you?

if you do not understand the consequences
and are not able to bargain in your own best
interests.

trustee can commit to spend trust
assets on your behalf.
Your agent
, under a power of attorney,
can take any act on your behalf that you
have authorized him to take.
